We are most excited, for our second ever foray into the exciting category of Irish Whiskey, to welcome Cathal Murphy – brand ambassador for Cooley Whiskey.

Cathal, an employee of the Irish Food Board, previously had a job examining the cloning of animals for the Irish agri-food sector, and not surprisingly reckons he “struck gold” when he was handed his latest assignment promoting his favourite whiskey company.

Cathal’s remit for Cooley is to educate consumers (that’s us) through whiskey shows and carrying out tastings of the company’s award-winning range, which shockingly ‘doesn’t feel at all like work’. He’s most likely to be asked ‘what is the difference between Scotch and Irish whiskey?’ and ‘do you play rugby?’ (all will be revealed). Outside of the Cooley stable of brands, Cathal’s favourite whiskey is Suntory Yamazaki 1984.

Tickets will be £15 per person. 7:30pm at The Gunmakers, London.  Record your booking using this web form, and we’ll be in touch by email shortly with payment instructions.

Whisky Squad is London’s friendliest, most casual, and least patronising whisky tasting night, and whisky enthusiasts (or people who are thinking of becoming whisky enthusiasts) of all levels are welcome to join us.

This event is fully booked.
