This session has now been fully booked – thankyou for your interest.  If you’d like to be added to the waiting list in case any last minute spots come up, please use the Contact form.

For the last 2 years as part of discussing the various different whiskies we’ve had on the tasting table we’ve often discussed differences in the distilling process between distilleries – the shape of the stills, the peat level of the malted barley, and where the stillman makes the cuts for feints and foreshots. But nearly everything we’ve had has been sitting in oak for years and years. For Whisky Squad 33 we’ve arranged to get hold of a few examples of the very heart of a whisky – the new make spirit. This is an exciting opportunity to pair up some raw spirit with a whisky made from that spirit, and gain a deeper understanding of the influence of the wood.

Taking us through this tasting is our very own whisky guru and soon-to-be distillery owner, Darren Rook. The session will take place at The Gunmakers, and the fee will be £15 per person.

We’ll contact you with payment instructions in the next couple of days once you’ve filled in the booking form.  Payment is taken in advance via bank transfer, and in the event you can’t make it refunds can be given if we can find a taker for your spot, so the more notice, the better.  If a session you’re interested in is booked out, please still contact us as we operate a reserve list.

This event is fully booked.
