Whisky Squad #40 – “It’s a kind of magic”

Tuesday Jul 17, 2012: 19:30 until 21:30

Soho Whisky Club

In September 2012 we’ll see the start of a new whisky awards event – “Wizards of Whisky”.  Headed up by whisky author & journalist Dom Roskrow, these events will see whiskies from everywhere in the world (except for Scotland) thrust together and judged by an independent panel, until the Wizards are selected, and finally from among them all an overall World Wizard of Whisky is selected.

For our Tuesday July 17th session, Dom’s going to taste us through a selection of his personal Wizards of Whisky – since Whisky Squad started we’ve had sessions focussing on Japanese whisky, American, Irish, Indian, and all sorts of places.  Dom’s tasting could draw from any of those, and will be guided by the tastes of a chap who has years of experience in the industry, worked for nearly every publication going, and has penned volumes such as “World’s Best Whiskies: 750 Unmissable Drams from Tennessee to Tokyo”, and “1001 Whiskies You Must Try Before You Die”.

This session takes place in the rooms of the Soho Whisky Club, on Old Compton Street. £15 per person.

This event is fully booked.
