By highly popular demand we’re once again turning the Whisky Squad spotlight across the Atlantic to see what our US cousins are doing in the world of American Whiskey. It is a spirits category of rigorous standards, coupled with extreme innovation. They must by law age their spirit in virgin white oak casks, and yet famously one distillery employs a “sonic aging” system to vibrate the whiskey by playing drum and bass at it through humungous speakers in the warehouse. And then there’s the whole controversy over what is and isn’t called “bourbon”.
Joel Eastman will take us through some interesting avenues in this subject, assisted by Jason B. Standing (if time & weather permit). Because it makes sense to have Aussies talking about American Whiskey
.
This event is fully booked.
