There are certain themes that recur in the whisky community, none more so than the scorn that is often poured on blended whisky. It’s the biggest category in the whisky market and is the reason for the existence of most distillers, but it’s often dismissed by the whisky ‘connoisseurs’ of the world as cheap rubbish. A view that in itself is rubbish.
Jason B Standing, hat wearing blend fan and evangelist, will examine the world of blended whiskies (for only the second time in the Squad’s history!), digging around in his cupboard to find a number of fantastic whiskies to show the most ardent whisky snob that there’s a lot more to dramming than single malt.
Tickets go on sale at noon, Friday 18th April.
